VIEW, a division of UC Berkeley's College of Engineering, offers graduate
courses on videotape to professionals over a satellite broadcast system.
The division wanted a cost-efficient Web solution to complement and promote
this offering.
VIRG created a streamlined, economical site that's flexible enough to accommodate a range of Web browsers and that optimize low bandwidth environments. Streamlined information design makes text-intensive pages inviting. Intuitive navigation facilitates easy access. Creative use of tables enhances information flow. Finally, cache graphics deliver crisp, clean images to low-bandwidth users. VIRG also maintains and updates this site, so that visual and verbal content are always current.
